Spot Portraits
How many really good photos of yourself actually do you have? And why not anymore?

There are indeed people who can look into a camera naturally and completely without inhibition - focused and intense. That, however, is the exception rather than the rule. The rule shows the opposite. One inadvertently tries to pose and alters one's facial expressions; the body language appears forced and no longer authentic. "Spot Portrait – Photography" operates on the principle of chance and spontaneity—much like documentary or reportage photography. However, lighting and the specific setting also play a crucial role. Nature, architecture, cultural highlights, restaurants, hotels, or unique backdrops can all contribute to this one-of-a-kind moment. I primarily work as a photojournalist, observing scenes and people. But when something or someone particularly inspires me, the result becomes either a street photography document of the times (Art Matters Stuff) or a photographic legacy. That is when - and only then - I approach the person. I shoot in color, but also very often in black and white—in high resolution and print quality. I can't say beforehand what the outcome will be. That’s why I exchange contact details first (name, phone number, WhatsApp, as well as a number that should definitely be kept). You can reach me at: +49 151 5356 1008. However, the general rule is: photography is permitted, but publication is subject to certain conditions. Copyright law applies.
